Leader of the Pack

Last night after supper, we loaded up the kiddos and went to a nearby dog park. Owen, Ryker and I had found it earlier on a ride around town after Mr O decided he didn't need a nap. (I'm sure he'll deny it if you bring it up, but some two-legged bud
dy DID take a nap on the drive.)

When we got to the dog park, the sign said kids 9 and up allowed inside. I guess this makes sense, some of these big dogs might see Owen as a treat, and I'm sure they don't want me going Mama Bear on a dog going after my son. So, Joe and Owen out, Leanna and Ryker in.

Ryker is a funny dog. He gets soooo amped up when other dogs are around when we're inside or on a walk. However, when we get to the dog park, he kinda trots around, but mostly stays away from other dogs. He has issues...we know that.

But he loved it. He loved running around. He loved, ahem, marking everything. He loved being a dog. But, what's a dog to do when there ARE so many other dogs around? Show you're the big man on campus, of course.

Ryker, my 40lb, medium build, mystery-breed dog find the biggest, baddest male Doberman Pinscher to try and dominate. Thankfully, Mr Doby was not as bad as he looked and just growled and snapped. Oh, Ryker, you're such a nerd.

Meanwhile, back on the other side of the fence, Owen was having a blast!!

Joe and Owen were walking around on the perimeter of the park talking to all the dogs that came to check them out. O would squeal and try and pet the puppies through the fence. Daddy however was looking out and made sure all were safe. Though, O did get his arm through to pet the poofy little American Eskimo, and couldn't have been happier.

Oh, what a good day when you bring home both you're boys and they are both happy and exhausted -- a day well lived!

Delay

Sorry for the delay in posts over here. You see, we procured this little thing called Owen Daniel on June 15th, and we've been just a bit busy!

Bad idea?

So, when putting around the house and nothing else is on, I have sadly clicked over to the Baby Story shows.

Some are weird and scary. The one on currently the lady is screaming and cussing for an epidural! I am beginning to think watching these shows isn't always the best.

Here's hoping this will not be our situation in a few months. And if it is, I am so, so very sorry! =)

The Ultimate Color Vote of 2010!

Folks, I can hardly believe it, but we are nearing that ever-elusive date of February 2nd -- Groundhog's Day.

Some of you may be asking, "Big whoop, why does she care so much about Groundhog Day?"

Well, this year, Phil will not only be predicting our extended winter or early spring forecast, he will also be notifying us on whether we should be stocking up on blue or pink for our wee little O'Baby!

A New Year Brings New Blessings

2009 was a good year.

My sister became Mrs. Co.
We went on an awesome vacation to a beautiful beach.
Joe and I celebrated 3 years of marriage.
We still have a crazy pup, but we love him even more.
We have been continually blessed with terrific family and friends.


2010, what will you hold?

One thing I know I will be holding is our new baby, set to make his or her debut this June!
We've been keeping it on the DL a bit, just because you never know, but with the new year, I seem to find myself so very excited about it. And in just a month, we'll even get to find out the gender. Along with predicting more winter or an early spring, Punxsutawney Phill will also deliver the news of a boy or a girl on Groundhog's Day, February 2nd!

We're slowing adjusting to it all. I'm slowing losing my wardrobe. And we're slowly acquiring baby stuff here and there. But I have this sinking suspicion it won't stay slow for long!

So here's to a new year! Here's to a crazy new journey!

Welcome Mr. Caleb!

Caleb Alan Norvell made his arrival this Thanksgiving after a long and laborious labor by his trooper-mom Lydia, along with his ever-encouraging daddy, Jon.

Joe and I got to visit Newbie Friday morning, along with a few of Lydia's family. It was so wonderful to see this baby we've all been praying for, wishing wonderful things for, and guessing just who he'll look like.Well, let me tell you, he's a cutie. With long legs, feet, toes and fingers...he's definitely got his daddy's height. And with a beautiful nose and delicate lips from his mama!
I was also blessed with the chance to baby sit yesterday and assist mama, and it was so much fun. He's a scrunchy little baby that likes to nestle right in and get all warm and snuggly and stay that way. I'm sure this will all change soon enough, but for now, oh, how sweet you are to hold Mr. Caleb!

We are so excited you are here and can't wait to see the man you will become. We have so many fun things to show you and to teach you...but most importantly, we're content just to love you! --Love Auntie Leanna and Uncle Joe
