Moving to Dallas

Well, I have gotten a job in Dallas. I will finally get to move closer to my love! I am very excited about this opportunity. I will be writing copy, and doing some account management along with pr work for some clients. I have an office with a window in a cool green color! How much better can life get.

Thank you all for your prayers and support. We'll still need it though with homehunting, the wedding and, well, the marriage too!

I'm excited. Can't wait to have everyone over to the new pad! I'll keep you posted!

You're moving to me!! Although I looked up Addison, Irving, and Grand Prairie, and I think you should live in Grand Prairie. :D MUCH closer! But you know what? Irving is WAY closer than College Station! So I'm for it! I heard it was a really pretty town.

I'm picking up boxes for you this Friday from work. I wonder how many I can fit in a Hyundai....

Wait..is it Irving or Addison? Or are you just looking all around there? Congrats on the job... very exciting!

I've already given you my congrats, but I'll send'em again....CONGRATULATIONS! Best wishes for the new job to be off to a good start AND to find the perfect apartment in the perfect location.

The job is in Addison (a part of Dallas on the Dallas North Tollway). We are looking for apartments either in Las Colinas (a suburb of Irving) or somewhere uptown so that Joe can jump on 30 and I can jump on the tollway. Lots of places to look at and lots are either expensive or really ghetto...but what's a little ghetto after living in Waco for 4 years and living with drunk aggies??

Hey, you can dog the aggies, but lay off of Waco. It's not THAT bad! We're getting tons of new restaurants... like a Rib Crib? Who the heck has heard of that?

Waco isn't that bad if you don't live near Baylor. But for people who have only lived near Baylor, Waco living is ghetto.

Leanna, that's kind of the same decision we had to make. And look at us! Ghetto! :) Maybe someday we'll live somewhere nice....

No! You misunderstand me. I know it's ghetto, I lived there, I loved it. I have no problem with the ghetto as long as the crime doesn't come. I am all for spice of life. And yes Karbo I know all of Waco is not ghetto. There are a lot of places in Waco and in College Station that I could only dream to afford!
So the apartment quest continues, I am all for paying less to have more later! Bring on the HOUSE!

Sorry, guess I was a little defensive. :-) So many people are like, ew, Waco, I have to defend it a lot. Somebody once told me, "Waco's not for everybody... but if it were, then everybody would be here, and then it wouldn't be for me!"
